Therapy for Depression in Ontario

Depression can feel like a heaviness that won't lift. You might notice low mood, losing interest in things you used to enjoy, trouble sleeping, low energy, or feeling disconnected from the people around you. Everyday tasks can start to feel like too much.

Our clinicians help people make sense of what's contributing to their low mood and find small, realistic steps forward. Depending on your needs and your clinician, therapy may draw on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) skills and Solution-Focused Therapy.

Together, you can work on noticing unhelpful thinking patterns, rebuilding routines and activities that matter to you, and reconnecting with people and parts of your life that have slipped away. We go at a pace that feels manageable.

Sessions are available by video or telephone across Ontario, in person in St. Catharines, and in your home in Niagara, subject to clinician availability. Most extended health benefit plans cover our services, and sliding-scale options are available.

If you're having thoughts of suicide or are in crisis, call or text 9-8-8 or go to your nearest emergency department. Otherwise, book a free 20-minute consultation or use our therapist-matching form, and we'll help you find a clinician who fits.
