Support for OCD and Intrusive Thoughts

Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) can involve unwanted, distressing thoughts or images, and the urge to check, clean, count, seek reassurance or repeat things until it feels right. These cycles can take up hours of your day and leave you feeling exhausted or ashamed.

Intrusive thoughts are common and don't reflect who you are. Our clinicians help people understand the OCD cycle, how it keeps itself going, and how to respond differently when it shows up.

Depending on your needs and your clinician, therapy may draw on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and mindfulness-based approaches. The goal is to loosen OCD's grip so you can spend more of your time and energy on what matters to you.

Sessions are available by video or telephone across Ontario, in person in St. Catharines, and in your home in Niagara, subject to clinician availability. Most extended health benefit plans cover our services, and sliding-scale options are available.

Book a free 20-minute consultation or use our therapist-matching form, and we'll help you find a clinician who fits.
